From the 2 Mar 1939 Simcoe Reformer:
"Cubs take first round of playoffs. Win second game from Port Colborne by score of 10-3. Geddes and Marchant lead scoring -- play with only three subs."
The same issue's report of the first game of that series included: "Reformer Cubs turn back Ports by score of 7-3 ... Marchant and Geddes collect total of 5 goals and 6 assists. Atherton in fine form."

From the 13 Mar 1939 Simcoe Reformer:
"Cubs battled to tie with Milton ... each team chalks up four goals in game played here. Geddes leads local lads with 3 counters. Gilmore gets 4th. Atherton good in nets."

From the 16 Mar 1939 Simcoe Reformer:
"Milton eliminates  Cubs by 7-2, take round 11-6. Local juniors no match for Brickmen in second game in Galt ... excellent record ... Geddes and Atkinson score Cubs goals."
