On Thursday, 15 Sep 1910, the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Holman of Acacia was the scene of a pretty wedding, when their sister, Nettie Simmons was united in marriage to Mr. Alfred Curtis of Bakersfield, California, formerly of Mabee.

Promptly at five o'clock the bridal party entered the parlor and stood before a bank of ferns and flowers. 
The bride was prettily attired in a dress of old rose silk. Miss Eva Smith of South Middleton, dressed in white, acted as bridesmaid, while Mr. Alfred Simons, brother of the bride, supported the groom.

The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. J. Loveday of Glen Meyer. Only the immediate relatives and friends of the contracting parties being present. In a few days Mr. and Mrs. Curtis will leave for their new home in Bakersfield, Cal. The young couple have the best wishes of many friends for future happiness and prosperity.
