Sad Death of Douglas Scott

A promising young life came to an untimely end in the death on Tuesday evening of Douglas Scott, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Scott. All summer Douglas has been ailing with Diabetes but was able to be around until a few days ago.

About a year ago he left school in enter the Star Office where he proved a faithful and adept apprentice and during the absence of the senior member of the staff on the Press excursion, Douglas "carried on" most efficiently.

He was a member of the Baptist Church and of the "Upstreamers" class in the Sunday School, where his gentle, generous disposition made him a favorite among his associates. He will be much missed and the sympathy of the entire community goes out to those who mourn his death at the early age of 15 years.

The funeral will be held from the residence of his parents today at 12.30. Interment will take place at Paris.
