The Late John Rusling

Mr. John Rusling, one of the oldest residents of Bloomsburg, passed away at his home in that village on 20 Aug 1920, in his 78th year. His health had been failing for some months, but he was only confined to his bed a few days.

Deceased was the youngest son of the late William Rusling and was born in the old Norfolk pioneer home, south of Simcoe, on 1 Apr 1843. 

The late Mr. Rusling was married to Miss Eliza Gaffney at Boston, where they lived a short time before moving to Bloomsburg. The celebrated the 50th anniversary of their wedding a few years ago.

Deceased leaves to mourn his loss besides his wife, one sister, Mrs. John Burbridge of Detroit, five daughters: 
Mrs. Jas. Schuyler, Mrs. F. R. Lingwood, 
Mrs. J. Hayes Youmans, all of Townsend, 
Mrs. N. C. Butler of Windham, and 
Mrs. W. J. Austin, at home; and three sons: William A., J. Ambrose and Harry E., all of California.

The funeral took place Sunday at 2 p.m., from his late residence to Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe, and was conducted by the Rev. J. B. Moore of Waterford.
