Penhall-Hewson
A pretty wedding took place
at the home of Mrs. M. J. Hewson, 322 Charlton avenue west, when her
only daughter, Jessie R. B., became the bride of Richard John
Penhall, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Penhall of Port Dover,
formerly of Villa Nova. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. I.
E.Hughson, B.A., D.D., pastor of First Methodist Church.
The bride, who was given
away by her mother, was attired in a gown of brocaded French
pussy-willow silk, and carried Columbia and Killarney roses. Miss
Winnifred Gestle played Wagner's Bridal Chorus as the bride entered
the drawing room.
Following the ceremony, the
wedding breakfast was served, after which the happy couple left for
Toronto and points east. The bride travelled in a brown velour suit,
with hat to match, and wore cross fox furs. On their return, Mr. and
Mrs. Penhall will live at 40 Mountain Park avenue, Hamilton.
