Death of Mrs. P. R. Kendall

After an illness of one one day and a half, Mrs. Libbie Kendall passed away at her late residence, 141 Norfolk Street South, Simcoe, early last Monday. The news came as a great shock to her many friends, few of whom were even aware of her illness.

Last Friday, Mrs. Kendall was apparently in the best of health, and Saturday took suddenly ill. The doctor was called, but she failed steadily until Monday morning at 5.30 o'clock, when she passed away.

The deceased has been a resident of Simcoe for practically the great part of her life. She was a woman of sterling quality, and was liked by all who knew her.

Services were hold at the house and Oakwood Cemetery yesterday by the Rev. A. B. Farney.

The deceased is survived by her husband, P. R. Kendall, here three brothers, Dr. E. D. McQueen and Alexander McQueen, both of Lowell, Michigan, and Bruce McQueen of Port Dover, and one sister, Miss Essie Mc Queen of Simcoe.

The pallbearers were Chas. E. Boyd, M. M. Smith, 
Geo. Widner, R. E. Gunton, Harry A. Johnson and Murray Hamilton.

There were many floral tributes.

Simcoe, 4 Mar 1921 -- After an illness of less than two days, Libbie McQueen, daughter of the late Alex. McQueen of Simcoe and wife of Percy R. Kendall, chief of the Simcoe fire brigade, passed away at her home here this morning, a victim of meningitis.

The entire community learned of her demise with profound sorrow and regret.

Deceased was a sister of Bruce McQueen of Port Dover,
Alex. McQueen of Lowell, Michigan, Miss Essie McQueen of Simcoe.
