Death of Mrs. Thos. Henry

Waterford people mourn the death of Mrs. Thos. Henry, one of our most estimable citizens. Mrs. Henry has been feeble for a year. She was as well as usual Monday night before going to bed. In the morning when Mrs. Doughty went up to assist her to dress she found her unconscious. The doctor stated that she had a stroke. She never rallied, but gradually grew worse and about five o'clock slept peacefully away.

Mrs. Henry was a woman of most exemplary Christian character and beloved by everybody. She came to Waterford when about 20 years of age and has lived here 56 years.

Five children are left to mourn their loss. They are James and Mrs. Geo. Doughty of Waterford, Judson of Toronto, Lewis and Duff of Chicago.

Waterford

The funeral of the late Mrs. Thos. Henry took place on Sunday and was very largely attended. A short service was held at the house at 10 a.m., and after interment in Greenwood Cemetery the service was continued in the Baptist Church, commencing at 11 a.m.

As a mark of special respect, the Methodist congregation assembled with the Baptists, and both ministers, 
Revs. E. Sheppard and F. C. Elliott spoke of the faithful, earnest, exemplary life lead by the deceased.

Among those from a distance who attended the funeral, were her three sons, Lewis and Duff of Chicago, and Judson with his daughter Miss Eva Henry of Toronto; Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Doughty of Buffalo, 
Mr. and Mrs. G. G. Rocke of St. Thomas, 
Mr. W. J. Henry of Guelph, 
Mr. Wm. White of Detroit.

The pall-bearers were Messrs. J. J. Church, E. Lundy, 
H. Serles, A. M. Little, L. Becker, and Oscar McMichael.
