A lightly edited partial transcription of the Items of Local Interest column on page 10 of the
25 Dec 1919 issue of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

Last Saturday, 19 Dec 1919, Mabel Florence Summerhayes, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Summerhayes of 191 Kars Street, was married by the Rev. H. C. Newcombe to Mr. Harold A. Allen.

The bride looked very becoming in a gown of pale pink georgette with bead trimming. She carried a bouquet of pink sweetheart roses and maiden-hair fern.

Miss Ida Sherk, the bridesmaid, wore a dress of pale green silk crepe de chine and carried a bouquet of marguerites.

The groom was supported by Mr. F. B. Summerhayes, only brother of the bride.

After the ceremony and congratulations the happy couple left on the 310 radial for London and St. Thomas. Upon their return they will reside in Simcoe for the present.
