Last Saturday, 19 Dec 1919,
Mabel Florence Summerhayes, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Summerhayes of 191 Kars Street, was married by the Rev. H. C.
Newcombe to Mr. Harold A. Allen.
The bride looked very
becoming in a gown of pale pink georgette with bead trimming. She
carried a bouquet of pink sweetheart roses and maiden-hair fern.
Miss Ida Sherk, the
bridesmaid, wore a dress of pale green silk crepe de chine and
carried a bouquet of marguerites.
The groom was supported by
Mr. F. B. Summerhayes, only brother of the bride.
After the ceremony and
congratulations the happy couple left on the 310 radial for London
and St. Thomas. Upon their return they will reside in Simcoe for
the present.
