The
Peachey-Cameron Wedding
On Tuesday, one of the most
charming weddings that has been seen in Simcoe this season took
place of 2 o'clock. when Mary, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James
Peachey, Wilson Ave., became the bride of Mr. Bruce Cameron, late
of the C.F.A., son of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Cameron of Toronto.
The bride, accompanied by
her father, descended the stairs to the strains of Mendelssohn's
wedding march, played by Miss Beatrice Wilson of Brockville,
attended only by the bridesmaid, Miss Myrtle Porter.
The ceremony was performed
beneath an arch of marguerites and snowballs and the drawing room
was artistically decorated with flowers.
Very sweet the bride
looked, wearing a gown of white georgette with tucky of taffeta.
She wore a veil and bandeau of orange blossoms, and carried a
shower bouquet of roses.
The bridesmaid was gowned
in pale pink organdie with picture hat of leghorn and carried a
sheaf of roses.
Attending the groom was Mr.
Charles MacFarland of Brampton. The nuptial knot was tied by Rev.
H. C. Newcombe.
Following the ceremony Miss
Beatrice Wilson sang "Oh Promise Me," after which a
buffet luncheon was served in the dining room.
The bride travelled
in a navy blue serge suit with straw hat to match. Mr. and Mrs.
Cameron left for New York and on their return will reside in
Woodstock.
