The Late Mrs. Laura Marr

Mrs. Marr, who before her marriage was Laura Foster, eldest daughter of the late Edward and Amanda Foster, was born
19 Jun 1849 on the old homestead granted to Elias Foster, a pioneer U. E. Loyalist, died 14 Jan 1920, aged 70 years, 6 months.

Deceased leaves to mourn her loss one brother, Isaiah Foster, and two sisters,
Mrs. G. F. Durkee and Mrs. Ai Abbott, all of Simcoe; also two sons, Uri and Arvil of South Walsingham, and one daughter, Mrs. Charles Simes of Brantford.

The service was in charge of Pastor Rolph, and her remains were laid at rest in Port Royal Cemetery, by the side of her late husband.

Her kindness in caring for the sick was an outstanding characteristic of her life. She never refused, day or night, a call for help.

She suffered greatly from cancer.
