Items of Local Interest

On Friday evening, Miss Clara Lawson left for Detroit, being called there by the serious illness of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Alfred Lawson, who had been suffering from influenza-pneumonia. Upon her arrival she found the patient so very ill that Mr. and Mrs. I. D. Lawson were sent for. Mrs. Lawson however died at 5 o'clock Sunday morning, some hours before their arrival.

The funeral was held at her former home, Davenport, Iowa. Besides the bereaved husband, a young son, Ted, survives.

Mr. and Mrs. Lawson paid a visit here to Mr. and Mrs. 
I. D. Lawson a couple of years ago, and deceased is remembered very well by many Simconians. Mr. I. D. Lawson returned early in the week. Mrs. Lawson and Miss Lawson remaining in Detroit for some days.
