| On 14 Aug 2013 descendants of those
buried in Old LaSalette Cemetery at the corner of Windham Road 10 & Norfolk Road
19 tried to recover cemetery stones lost
when the overgrown area was bulldozed in the 1960s. Dozens were buried
here between the 1840s and the 1870s. The prize find so far
is a footstone marked "J. McC." The work is to continue. Photographed 14 Aug 2013 by Marie Shull. |
